Costruzione ed Ergonomia

Huawei ha scelto la solita scocca unibody in alluminio e vetro per questo P8 Lite 2017. Da un punto di vista estetico richiama molto da vicino le linee viste sugli smartphone Honor, con i quali è “strettamente imparentato”. Si tiene molto bene in mano, grazie alle dimensioni compatte di 147.2 x 72,94 x 7.6 mm, il tutto racchiuso in 147 grammi. Non particolarmente oloefobico il vetro utilizzato per display e back cover, che trattiene un pò troppo le impronte. Ottimo il touch & feel, soprattutto considerando la fascia di prezzo.

Prestazioni

A bordo troviamo il Kirin 655 Octa-Core a 2.1GHz coadiuvato da 3GB di RAM e da una GPU Mali-T830. Molto buone le prestazioni di questa piattaforma hardware, che consente al P8 Lite 2017 di essere fluido in praticamente qualsiasi condizione di utilizzo. Anche in questo caso, eccellente lavoro da parte di Huawei, che consentirà allo smartphone di fare “man bassa” della fascia medio-bassa del mercato.

Display

L’azienda cinese sceglie un pannello da 5.2 pollici realizzato con tecnologia IPS LCD e caratterizzato dalla risoluzione Full-HD (1080 x 1920, 424 ppi). Praticamente invisibile la griglia dei pixel, ottima la resa cromatica, leggibile e visibile in tutte le condizioni di luce. Ottimo anche il funzionamento del sensore di luminosità, che si adatta in maniera fulminea alle condizioni ambientali.

Audio e Multimedia

Il P8 Lite 2017 è equipaggiato con un altoparlante mono, posizionato sul lato inferiore, che dunque non viene coperto anche quando poggiamo lo smartphone su di un piano. La resa è buona, il volume elevato, e questo vi consentirà di non perdere mai telefonate o notifiche, ma anche di ascoltare tranquillamente un brano musicale o l’audio di un video YouTube. Ottima la resa della capsula auricolare in chiamata (in classico stile Huawei), così come l’audio in cuffia. Buono anche il comportamento in vivavoce.

Autonomia

A bordo troviamo una batteria da 3.000 mAh integrata nella scocca. Abbiamo trovato qualche incertezza rispetto allo standard Huawei, probabilmente dovuto ad una non ancora perfetta ottimizzazione lato software. Siamo riusciti comunque a coprire la giornata lavorativa, terminandola però con un 10% residuo. Ci aspettavamo comunque qualcosa di più, ma non è detto che l’azienda cinese non corregga il tiro con un update.

Software

Il P8 Lite 2017 arriva sul mercato con a bordo Android 7.0 Nougat personalizzato con la EMUI 5.0. Dunque, l’ultimissima versione software dell’azienda cinese per questo medio gamma, la medesima che abbiamo trovato, ad esempio, al lancio del Mate 9. L’interfaccia scorre fluida senza incertezze, e sono ovviamente presenti tutte quelle chicche che abbiamo imparato a conoscere della nuova versione della EMUI.

Fotocamera

Sulla parte posteriore troviamo la fotocamera da 12MP con apertura focale f/2.0, coadiuvata da un Flash LED e dalla stabilizzazione digitale. Molto buone le fotografie, con la fotocamera che si comporta bene in tutte le condizioni di illuminazione (con qualche rumore di troppo in notturna). Molto interessante la possibilità di applicare l’effetto bokeh lato software, nonostante non ci sia la doppia fotocamera. I video vengono girati fino alla risoluzione Full-HD a 30 fps.

Ricezione

Huawei ci ha abituati a standard elevatissimi in termini di ricezione. Il P8 Lite 2017 non smentisce questo trend, e dunque riesce a tenere il segnale in maniera molto stabile. Abbiamo solo riscontrato una maggiore difficoltà a riagganciarlo quando lo perde, rispetto ad altri prodotti dell’azienda cinese. Si tratta comunque di inezie. Ottimo anche il segnale Wi-Fi.

Voto Finale

Questo Huawei P8 Lite 2017 ci ha convinti a 360°. L’azienda cinese è riuscita a produrre un ottimo prodotto nonostante il prezzo di listino di 279 euro (ma ormai lo si recupera a 249 euro). Abbiamo certamente riscontrato qualche piccola “ombra”, ma si tratta di dettagli che potrebbero serenamente essere risolti con un update software. In ogni caso, smartphone assolutamente promosso.
